DANIELE FOCOSI 'S AUTOBIOGRAPHY

If you would like to know something more about the author of these quite unpersonal pages, here I am.

That in th middle, I presume... My name is Daniele Focosi and I am 26 years old (but that was the best photo of mine !).
I was born and currently live in a small town in the countryside of Lucca (Tuscany), Italy.

After obtaining school-leaving Certificate at Scientific High School "Ettore Majorana" in Capannori (Lucca) in 1999, I graduated in Medicine and Surgery at University of Pisa in 2005. I have worked at the International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) in Trieste, Italy for my thesis under the supervision of Prof.Oscar Roberto Burrone, leading scientist of the Molecular Immunology Group. I'm currently attending the Division of Hematology at the Hospital "Santa Chiara" in Pisa, led by Prof. Mario Petrini.

I am a member of the Pioneers group at Lucca committee of the C.R.I. (Italian Red Cross, the Italian section of the Committee International de la Croix-Rouge (International Red Cross Committee)), serving in Emergency Room of Hospital "Campo di Marte", Lucca, since 2000.

My great passion for molecular biology matched with my medicine studies and so I am building up and daily updating this web site, expecially dedicated to medicine students and physicians. A special acknowledgement goes to my family and my girlfriend for the time I neglect them ...
